Thomas Bodley collection, 1797-1832.

This collection contains correspondence, business papers, and land documents pertaining to the life and business affairs of General Thomas Bodley. The papers include letters concerning politics and public affairs of the era, from such people as Henry Clay and William Henry Harrison. Land documents, surveys, related letters, and business papers are also present. There are two letters written by Bodley to his wife during the War of 1812 and other letters to Bodley concerning the conflict and his duties with the army.
